Tonight’s specimen appears to be a normal series III XJ12 but upon closer inspection is actually something much more interesting. The first giveaway is on the date-plate, a manufacture date of 1992. Yes, 1992 not 1982. You see in America the series III body style ended with the 1987 model year, but the rest of the world could still buy one but only with the V12. This meant that all the cars carry the “Vanden Plas” trim level.

What makes this car a little bit more special is that it’s a Canadian market car. These were produced and sold in Canada. In 1992 to celebrate the end of production of the body AND the Canadian factory the last 100 cars to roll off the assembly line were fitted with this celebratory plaque, which was engraved by the local workers of the Canadian factory.

Since these cars didn’t have to comply with the American safety standards you’ll find they’re fitted with all the options including the 7" euro headlights, foglights, headlight wipers, and a higher class interior.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

This is what happens when I get bored. I could probably just go to sleep sooner but that’s no fun.

I also made this as an excuse to try out the recommended stories.
